Miami Awning Company Assists Families of Employees in Haiti

Our hearts have been saddened by the catastrophe in Haiti.  Many of our loyal employees are originally from Haiti and still have family members living in Haiti.  Because we all are deeply concerned for our fellow employees and for their families, we have started "at home" in directly helping monetarily to get help for their families back home.

This has proved successful in obtaining housing in the countryside for several families.  We will continue to help as we have done in the past, even before the devastating earthquake.  Miami Awning throughout the years has provided assistance to those with families in Haiti.  Last summer we donated equipment, materials, fabric rolls and supplies to assist economically in educating others in Haiti to learn our trade of making awnings and canopies; to be able to start businesses and provide for their families.

Our employees also have shown concern, compassion and generosity to the relief efforts in Haiti.  As a company, we will continue to assist with the ongoing relief effort and to benefit as many people as possible in the rebuilding effort.
